RaceWorks.com is owned and operated by Gary Wayne Rowe. Born and raised in New Bern, North Carolina always having huge involvement with drag racing thanks to father, Larry Rowe and older brother, Charles Rowe. The four tracks we attended the most growing up were New Bern, Kinston, Jacksonville and Rockingham. My father Larry has pictures of me sitting in the buckle of an Alcohol Funny Cars header pipes when I was still in diapers. Needless to say I have been around drag racing all my life. "Drag Racing is a way of life for me." I remember getting so excited every Saturday morning just knowing that we (as a family) were going to the drag strip that night. The constant rush of witnessing loud cars run as fast as they can is just simply awesome to me. I have always been graphic minded seeing these wild "drag car" creations with wings/spoilers, hood scoops and cool paint jobs just made it all come together. At one time, I had over 40 Revell/Monogram 1/24 scale model drag cars in my room that I had built and painted to immaculate detail. I took that even further when I was a little older building a neat looking 1/24 scale model drag strip with the tower, starting line area & more! I used to draw race cars, color them with crayon or colored pencil as if I were trying to sell the print. I cannot recall any day that has gone by since I can remember that drag racing did not cross my mind. Even as a little boy, I had my bicycle jazzed up with wheelie bars and a parachute racing out in from of the house with other neighbor hood kids. Yes, I know, I had it bad... Drag Racing as a whole is great! I am so very honored to work in a professional career that means so much to me.
